2022 Senior Profiles: Ruby La Bianca- Christian Music & Worship

EC Senior: Ruby La Bianca
Year joined EC: 11th
Plans for next year: I will be moving to Nashville to pursue a career in Christian music and worship. I will be attending The Belonging Co College, majoring in worship leadership. 

What do you love about Eastern Christian School?
Project Focus is a class on spiritual discipleship, prayer, and ministry and it changed my life. This class gave me a fresh perspective on the Holy Spirit and a beautiful community to call my own.

Describe one of your favorite teachers and tell why he/she is a favorite.
Mrs. Johnson is my favorite teacher. She is kind beyond what words can describe, compassionate to the needs of the students, and always makes me and my fellow students feel safe, seen, loved, and heard. I have opened up to her about my deepest worries, fears, and struggles and she has always brought the love and wisdom of Jesus into my situation. She inspired me to pursue God with all of me and pursue a life of righteousness. I will never forget the lessons she taught me and the beautiful way she portrayed Jesus to me that made me fall in love with the Lord all over again. She truly changed my life.

In what ways have you grown in your faith as a result of your experience at Eastern Christian School?
Through the different soars such as Project Focus, Worship soar, and participating in the chapel, I have been taught and shown how to listen to the Spirit of God and be obedient in faith to His words to me and I have been blessed to have been given amazing opportunities to pour out to other students, greatly increasing my faith.

How do you feel that EC prepared you for graduation, college/career and life?
EC has prepared me to work my best, be put in positions of leadership and represent Jesus in my work life as well as my personal life.

What opportunities did you experience at EC that you don’t think you would have gotten to experience anywhere else?
Soar classes have been an amazing opportunity to grow in my relationship with Christ and the Holy Spirit. I’m very grateful I got to experience growth in those environments.

What would you say to a prospective student considering joining Eastern Christian School?
Take advantage of the chapels, and activities set out to grow in Jesus. You have everything in front of you that you need, but it’s up to you to use the resources given. Don’t take it for granted because if applied and appreciated, you could be truly transformed in Christ. Never sacrifice who you are and what you believe for the approval of other people. Lastly, your teachers truly care about you. Even if they give you a lot of homework, I promise you that they want to uplift you and get to know you, so don’t feel afraid to ask for help, prayer, or anything else. You aren’t alone in this life journey or this faith journey. <3
